Oh yeah, I read all about that. I don’t think the guy should have been fired or all the videos removed. Maybe they could have rereleased the recap offering different interpretations of the subtext. I can understand the creators not liking the video because it suggested that that was the true meaning of the subtext, and that it seemed to be seeking fan input into the show’s direction, but to *ahem* “DELETE. FUCKING. EVERYTHING.” and fire the guy was just a bit harsh.
The wonderful thing about ambiguity is that it makes things open for interpretation and conjecture, and that’s what makes being a fan of any fictional universe fun.
I have my own interpretation of the subtext, but that’s neither here nor there. In the end, it was just a fantastic episode.
